Le Me’lange 2011 Management Fest at Lovely Professional University

LeMe’lange 2011 is a humble effort to realize LPU vision of transforming India through quality education in various disciplines, adopting innovative pedagogies.
LeMe’lange 2011 is a festival of sorts that provides the studentsa stage to imagine, ideate, innovate, discuss and come up with solutions to various issues confronting the industry in particular and society at large.

The purpose of “LeMe’lange 2011” is to let the young minds exercise, create, collaborate and compete. “LeMe’lange 2011" is an initiative to bring together students from across B- Schools in India to enable them to learn while competing and showcase their talents. Though learning management is a serious business, it can still be fun. “LeMe’lange 2011”is providing a platform for the same. It will start as a management event but you will remember it as an everlasting experience filled with toil, excitement and lots of learning.

Guidelines for the event:

  • The events are open for commerce & management students only.
  • Participating teams will be required to carry an authentication letter from the respective Head of their institutions.
  • Registration & participation is absolutely free.
  • Team size should not exceed more than 20 participants per college / University.
  • Last date for registration is 19th February, 2011 for various events. Registered teams will be sent an online confirmation.
  • Teams are required to bring their own laptops, cameras etc. as per the requirements of the events.
  • The panel of judges will evaluate the competition and their decisions will be final.
  • Free boarding and lodging separately for boys and girls will be provided to the participants
    (Please mention the same during the online registration process).

Details of Events:

  • 'Vishleshan': Case Analysis CompetitionEach team will be provided with a case on the first day and they will have to submit a write up of the analysis done on the next day followed by power point presentations. Please carry your own laptops.
  • “The Mighty Pen”: Essay Writing Competition
    The participants will be given a topic on the spot and they will be given 90 minutes to write an essay on it.
  • “Biz Wiz”: Business Quiz
    The dyads will be tested for their general awareness & business concepts.
  • “Srijan”: Creative Marketing
    Each team will be given props and they will have to make a product out of it and sell it in an innovative way.
  • “Chehre pe Chehra”: Face Painting
    Participant from each team shall paint the face of the co-teammate on the given theme.
  • “Chaavi”: Business Simulation Games
    Two different stages to check your decision making abilities in real time situations.
  • “Spark”: B-Plan Contest
    Dhirubhai Ambani did it. did it. So did Kiran Mazumdar Shaw. The business world has been revolutionized by young entrepreneurs.
    Present your statement of business goals, the reasons why they are believed attainable, and the plan for reaching those goals.
  • “Khel Khel Mein”: Management Games
    Show your talents and business sense by handing a variety of interesting situations given on the spot.
  • “Manthan”: Information Analysis
    The participants will be given an incomplete premise in advance and then new information will be given to them in a piecemeal manner. The participant will have to register their responses after receipt of each piece of information.
  • “Kriti”: Logo Designing
    Each participant will be given a hypothetical company on the spot and they have to design a logo for the same using their creativity within the given time limit.
  • “Expression”: Role Play
    Topics will be given on the spot. Team needs to play the role.
  • “Punch Mantra”: Tag-Line Competition
    Teams have to build their original tag lines for the hypothetical products given on spot in the given time limit.
  • “Waad Wiwaad”: Debate Competition
    Each team can have two members. One can speak in favor and the other can speak against the given topic. The topic will be given one day in advance.
  • “Cresendo”: Ad-Designing Competition
    This event will be held in multi-stages and will give an opportunity to the students to show their creative talents by designing advertisements for products given to them.
  • “Talash”: Treasure Hunt
    Treasure hunt involves an intervening web of clues which leads to other clues and along the voyage the team must collect the clue item.
  • “Rann Neeti”: Make Your Strategy
    Each team will be given a business situation and will have to come up with an appropriate management strategy to handle it.
  • “Aaina”: A Documentary making Competition
    Each team has to make and present a documentary on community related issues or on a community project initiated by the participating students. You can even start a new community project now and present the same in the contest .
  • “Yogyta”: Panel Discussion
    Each team will be given a topic in advance and they have to discuss the same as panel members under a scrutiny of judges. Also teams have to take up questions from the judges and audience.
